What Customers Say About PlayStation 3 40GB:

A++++ Great price with the product in wonderful condition as well as bonus items and easy contact.

I had heard a lot of negative things about the 40gb playstation and was glad to find that they were not true. I was very pleased with this product.

The games are huge, becasue blu-ray discs can store many times more data than DVDs. In fact, you barely notice, unless the movie is shot in digital format. Your choice)Blue ray movies look and sound way better than DVDs. Although, the PS3 upconverts the DVDs to look pretty close to blue-ray. First of all, the graphics are smooth and pretty close to reality.

Its strictly to meet and play with people). If you have a surround sound system with an optical cable, you can set the PS3 to translate the signal to DTS automatically. But whatever, I don't really care what you choose in the end, its your money and you can blow it on a 360 or a Wii *laughs*, heck $20 a month for XBox live isn't much anyway, that's just $240 a year hahaha. Hulu.com works great also and you can watch whole TV shows and even moves, and they look better than regular TV because many times they're 480i HD. Its very versatily and Sony is constanlty updating the software FOR FREE.

But I know you can install Linux in it, and I'm going to try it.You can browse the internet with its included browser. and its amazing. They look pretty close. You can usually rent a movie for a few dollar for a day, or you can even buy it and store it in your system. And everything you do online is FREE. For some reason DTS sounds more life-like and powerful than Dolby 5.1, and it will literally make your room rumble. I've had the ps3 for 7 months now, and I must say it lives up to Sony's standards.

You can acces the Sony store to buy and download dozens of games or even movies in HD. I haven't had the time to use its features fully. You can also turn it off from your controller. They're not expensive. I don't know why, but once I restart the console, it will dissapear. I have it hooked to a Sony Bravia 32" (you can get one for $600.).

I think that's and awesome feature. If you have internet, you can get into the free HOME interface and interact, play and meet other people (similar to SecondLife, although you can't buy real estate or transfer cash to other people. The controller is wireless, and it doesn't have rumble effect. You don't have to pay a big monthly subscription like in the "other" competitor. You can even get into Youtube and make the video screen BIG to fit your TV. I have even seen games in the Playstation Network store for $2.99, and some are even free.

It just has too many features too list. later It doensn't have memory stick slots (this 40 gb model) but I don't need them ,because I can even transer file with a USB memory stick or a burned CDRom. I use an HDMI cable. You turn it on from your couch, just press the PS button on your controller and it launches. But you can buy on separately with that feature. Its a small glitch.

It doesn't matter if your game only has Dolby encoding, it will output in DTS (or you can set it to outpot in Dolby. I have one problem though, that sometimes the screen turns green after or before watching a movie.

I also get strange effects when i watch DVD's. its pretty good. It lags and freezes when I play madden sometimes.

We're done with Sony. There's rumblings of class action law suits. Given the breadth of the problem, a recall is the only legitimate solution.

My PS3 broke down after less than a year of very very light duty use. Even though it's clearly defective design and manufacturing, Sony wont honor their brand. I've bought over $20,000 of Sony products in my life.

They want $150 to look at it. They just threw away a family of lifers. It wont read DVDs, which is mostly what we use it for.

If you look online, you'll find thousands of people with the same complaint.
